SCF is a type I transmembrane protein and hematopoietic growth factor, which acts in synergy with other growth factors and signals through the c-Kit receptor.
Interaction between SCF and the receptor tyrosine kinase c-Kit is an essential step for the proliferation, survival and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells, mast cells, myelanocytes and germ cells, and plays an important role in follicular development.
Studies have shown involvement of the association between SCF and c-Kit with the progression and invasiveness of tumors, and deficiencies of either SCF or c-Kit result in mast cell deficiency and macrocytic anaemia.
Applications:Suitable for use in FLISA, Functional Assays, and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
