PUMA, also known as bbc3, is a pro-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 family.
PUMA is localized to the mitochondria, binds BCL-2 and induces cytochrome C release and apoptosis in response to p53.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Other applictions not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: Detects a band at ~23kD in K562 cell lysates
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.
Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended
Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Positive Control:Human breast carcinoma
Recommended Secondary Reagents:Sheep anti Rabbit IgG (HRP)
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
