- Tissue plasminogen activator (TPA or PLAT) is a protein involved in the breakdown of blood clots.
- It is a serine protease found on endothelial cells, the cells that line the blood vessels.
- As an enzyme, it catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin, the major enzyme responsible for clot breakdown.
- Applications:Suitable for use in RIA, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry (frozen).
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
