Macrophage scavenger receptors (MSR) are membrane glycoproteins that mediate the recognition and uptake of a wide variety of negatively charged macromolecules.
There are two types of these receptors that differ in the C-terminal region.
MSR has a key role in scavenging a variety of macromolecules, including modified lipoproteins, advanced glycation end (AGEs) products and amyloid b-protein (Ab).
While the normal role of MSR is associated with cell adhesion and host defense mechanisms, it also has been implicated in the development of atherosclerosis and Ab deposition in Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
