In the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry, a reverse transcriptase, also known as RNA-dependent DNA polymerase, is a DNA polymerase enzyme that transcribes single-stranded RNA into double-stranded DNA.
It also helps in the formation of a double helix DNA once the RNA has been reverse transcribed into a single strand cDNA.
Normal transcription involves the synthesis of RNA from DNA; hence, reverse transcription is the reverse of this.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:500-1:1000Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
