- Histones are highly alkaline proteins found in eukaryotic cell nuclei, which package and order the DNA into structural units called nucleosomes.
- They are the chief protein components of chromatin, acting as spools around which DNA winds, and play a role in gene regulation.
- Applications:Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Immunocytochemistry: 1:100Immunoprecipitation: 1:1000Western Blot: 1:300Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
