- Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) is the sulfated version of DHEA.
- This conversion is reversibly catalyzed by sulfotransferase (SULT2A1) primarily in the adrenals, the liver, and small intestine.
- In the blood, most DHEA is found as DHEAS with levels that are about 300 times higher than those of free DHEA.
- Orally ingested DHEA is converted to its sulfate when passing through intestines and liver.
- Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
- Other applications not tested.
- Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
- Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
- Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
- Store at -20°C.
- Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
- For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
