Collagenase is an enzyme which breaks the peptide bonds in collagen.
Collagen is produced through the cleavage of pro-collagen by collagenase following its secretion from the cell.
Collagenase enzymes assist in the destruction of extracellular structures in the pathogenesis of bacterial such as Clostridium.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 1;10,000-1:100,000Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:100,000Immunohistochemistry: 1:10,00-01:100,000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
