The carbonic anhydrases (or carbonate dehydratases) form a family of enzymes that catalyze the rapid interconversion of carbon dioxide and water to bicarbonate and protons (or vice-versa), a reversible reaction that occurs rather slowly in the absence of a catalyst.
The active site of most carbonic anhydrases contains a zinc ion; they are therefore classified as metalloenzymes.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:2000-1:20,000Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
