Transcriptional-regulating factor 1 is a zinc-finger transcriptional regulating protein which interacts with CBP/p300 to regulate the human gene CYP11A1.The deduced 1,200aa protein contains a glutamine-rich region, 2 proline-rich regions, an acidic region, and 3 C2H2-type zinc finger motifs.
An alternatively spliced transcript with a longer 3-prime UTR encodes the same protein.
Northern blot analysis detected transcripts of 4.4 and 7.5 kb abundantly expressed in thymus, testis, adrenal cortex, and a human choriocarcinoma cell line.
Weak expression was detected in all other tissues examined except pancreas and small intestine.
In vitro transcription and translation resulted in a protein with an apparent molecular mass of about 132kD, in agreement with the predicted size.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry.
