• CD302 is a C-type lectin receptor involved in cell adhesion and migration, as well as endocytosis and phagocytosis.
• By sequencing clones obtained from a size-fractionated immature myeloid leukemia cell line cDNA library, Nomura et al.
• (1994) obtained a partial cDNA encoding CD302, which they called KIAA0022.
• Northern blot analysis revealed variable expression of a 4.2-kb CD302 transcript in all tissues examined, with highest levels in lung, liver, ovary, and peripheral blood.
• By 3-prime RACE analysis of DEC205 (LY75) in a Hodgkin and Reed-Sternberg (HRS) lymphoma cell line, Kato et al.
• (2003) identified a cDNA encoding a fusion of DEC205 with CD302, which they called DCL1.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
