• CIP2A has a calculated molecular mass of 102.2 kD and has a 255aa coiled-coil region at its C terminus.
• Immunohistochemical analysis of human and mouse cells detected diffuse cytoplasmic p90 staining, with a slight concentration in the perinuclear region.
• Expression was high in embryonic day-17.5 and -18.5 mouse liver, and was moderate in embryonic brain, muscle, and epidermal layers.
• However, p90 was not expressed in adult mouse liver.
• KIAA1524 gene contains at least 26 exons and spans 92 kb.
• The 5-prime UTR is GC rich, and the 3-prime UTR contains 2 polyadenylation signals.
• Anti-p90 autoantibodies in HCC, gastric cancer, and esophageal cancer patients.
• Expression of p90 was elevated in 6 of 11 gastric cancer tissues examined.
