• CENTA2 contains an N-terminal ARF-GAP -like zinc finger motif, followed by 2 pleckstrin homology (PH) domains.
• Northern blot analysis detected highest expression in placenta, spleen, kidney, skeletal muscle, and adrenal gland, with weaker expression in thyroid, liver, heart, lung, small intestine, and peripheral blood leukocytes.
• CENTA2 was localized exclusively at the plasma membrane of transfected embryonic kidney cells.
• CENTA2 expressed in insect cells bound inositol 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate with similar affinities.
• Modeling studies suggested that there is only 1 class of binding sites, and stoichiometric analysis indicated that there are 2 binding sites per CENTA2 molecule.
• Inhibition of PI3K caused membrane-bound CENTA2 to dissociate into the cytosol.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry.
