• ADAM22 is a member of the ADAM family.
• Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
• Three-prime RACE yielded products corresponding to 2 MDC2 mRNAs, MDC2-alpha and -beta, in both mouse and human.
• MDC2-alpha encodes a predicted 859aa protein.
• The shorter transcript, MDC2-beta, results from exon skipping and encodes an 823aa protein.
• The MDC2-alpha protein shares 56% and 51% sequence similarity with MDC and MDC3, respectively.
• Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
