HIP3 (huntingtin-interacting protein 3), also known as ZDHHC17 (zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 17), HYPH, HIP14 or HSPC294, is a 632aa multi-pass membrane protein that localizes to both the golgi apparatus to cytoplasmic vesicles and contains one DHHC-type zinc finger and five ANK repeats.
Expressed predominately in brain tissue, but also present in kidney, pancreas, testis and heart, HIP3 functions as a palmitoyltransferase that is involved in the sorting and targeting of proteins that are involved in endocytotic events.
HIP3 exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and is associated with the pathogenesis of Huntington’s Disease (HD), a genetic neurological disorder that is characterized by uncoordinated, jerky body movements and a decline in some mental abilities.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:200Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
