• Tumor necrosis factor, alpha-induced protein 8-like 1, also known as TNFalpha-IP 8L1, is a 186aa protein belonging to the TNFalpha-IP 8 family.
• Members of the TNFalpha-IP 8 family are induced by nuclear factor-kappaB 9 (NFkappaB) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF), although induction by TNF is dependent upon NFkappaB activation.
• TNFalpha-IP 8 proteins also act as a negative mediator of apoptosis and may play a role in tumor progression.
• They suppress TNF-mediated apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-8 activity but not the processing of procaspase-8, subsequently resulting in inhibition of BID cleavage and caspase-3 activation.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
