The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking.
Unlike the other members of the family, this encoded protein does not seem to have PPIase/rotamase activity.
It may have a role in neurons associated with memory function.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
