WNK lysine deficient protein kinase 1, also known as WNK1, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the WNK1 gene.
The human gene is located on short arm of chromosome 12 (12p13.3).
This gene encodes a member of the WNK subfamily of serine/threonine protein kinases.
The encoded protein may be a key regulator of blood pressure by controlling the transport of sodium and chloride ions.
Mutations in this gene have been associated with pseudohypoaldosteronism type II and hereditary sensory neuropathy type II.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described but the full-length nature of all of them has yet to be determined.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
