Sin Nombre virus (SNV) is a rodent-borne hantavirus of the family Bunyaviridae, an enveloped, negative-sense RNA viruses with a tripartite genome that can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS).
Hantavirus glycoprotein precursor (GPC) is posttranslationally cleaved into two glycoproteins G1 (Gn) and G2 (Gc).
The G1 glycoprotein is is thought to be degraded by the host autophagy machinery, and this autophagic clearance is required for efficient virus repliaction.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
