The decay-accelerating factor (DAF), also known as CD55, is an integral membrane glycoprotein that is involved in the regulation of the complement cascade (1).
DAF limits excessive complement activation by accelerating their decay following DAF binding, thereby disrupting the cascade and preventing damage to host cells (2).
Antigens present on the DAF glycoprotein constitute the Cromer blood group system (CROM) (3).
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunofluorescence: 20ug/mlWestern Blot: 1-2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
