• ITGA4/Integrin alpha4 is an integrin alpha subunit.
• It makes up half of the a4B1 lymphocyte homing receptor.
• The product of this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family of proteins.
• Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain.
• This gene encodes an alpha 4 chain.
• Unlike other integrin alpha chains, alpha 4 neither contains an I-domain, nor undergoes disulfide-linked cleavage.
• Alpha 4 chain associates with either beta 1 chain or beta 7 chain.
• ITGA4 is also mapped to 2q31-q32 by fluorescence in situ hybridization.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin/Frozen): 0.5-1ug/ml.
• Boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 minutes is required for staining formalin/parffin sections
• Flow Cytometry: 1-3ug/1x10e6 cellsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
