It is showed that activation of caspase-2 occurs in a complex that contains the death domain- containing protein PIDD, whose expression is induced by p53, and the adaptor protein RAIDD.
Increased PIDD expression resulted in spontaneous activation of caspase-2 and sensitization to apoptosis by genotoxic stimuli.
Caspase-2 acts both as a positive and negative cell death effector, depending upon cell lineage and stage of development.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile dH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
