• Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein (AHSG) also known as fetuin-A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AHSG gene.
• Fetuin-A belongs to the fetuin class of plasma binding proteins and is more abundant in fetal than adult blood.
• This gene is mapped to 3q27.
• Fetuin-A is a secreted partially phosphorylated glycoprotein with complex proeolytic processing that circulates in blood and extracellular fluids.
• The protein is commonly present in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and bone marrow hemopoietic matrix.
• It is involved in several functions, such as endocytosis, brain development and the formation of bone tissue.
• Fetuin-A is also a potent inhibitor of pathological calcification.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile dH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
