Cell cycle progression is regulated by cyclins and their cognate Cdks.
p21 (WAF1/CIP1) inhibits the activity of each member of the cyclin/Cdk family, and overexpression of this protein inhibits the proliferation of mammalian cells.
The expression of p21 is inducible by a wide range of stress stimuli.
p21 is tightly regulated at the transcriptional level by p53, and probably serves as the effector of p53 cell cycle control.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
