This gene encodes a member of the C-lectin family, proteins that possess collagen-like sequences and carbohydrate recognition domains.
This protein is a scavenger receptor, a cell surface glycoprotein that displays several functions associated with host defense.
It can bind to carbohydrate antigens on microorganisms, facilitating their recognition and removal.
It also mediates the recognition, internalization, and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein by vascular endothelial cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
