The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the transport of phosphate into the mitochondrial matrix, either by proton cotransport or in exchange for hydroxyl ions.
The protein contains three related segments arranged in tandem which are related to those found in other characterized members of the mitochondrial carrier family.
Both the N-terminal and C-terminal regions of this protein protrude toward the cytosol.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
