This gene encodes a cytosolic, NADP-dependent enzyme that generates NADPH for fatty acid biosynthesis.
The activity of this enzyme, the reversible oxidative decarboxylation of malate, links the glycolytic and citric acid cycles.
The regulation of expression for this gene is complex.
Increased expression can result from elevated levels of thyroid hormones or by higher proportions of carbohydrates in the diet.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
