MCHR1, a member of the G protein coupled receptor family 1, is an integral plasma membrane protein which binds melanin concentrating hormone.
MCHR1 can inhibit cAMP accumulation and stimulate intracellular calcium flux, and is probably involved in the neuronal regulation of food consumption.
Although structurally similar to somatostatin receptors, MCHR1 does not seem to bind somatostatin.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
