Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 9 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SIGLEC9 gene.
Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells.
Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3- or alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid.
The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface.
Expressed by peripheral blood leukocytes (neutrophils and monocytes but not eosinophils).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000Western Blot: 1:200-1:1000Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
