Component of the Set1/Ash2 histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex, a complex that specifically methylates Lys-4 of histone H3, but not if the neighboring Lys-9 residue is already methylated.
As part of the MLL1/MLL complex it is involved in methylation and dimethylation at Lys-4 of histone H3.
May function as a transcriptional regulator.
May play a role in hematopoiesis.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityStore product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
