The activity of RP-A is mediated by single-stranded DNA binding and protein interactions.
Ref.7 Ref.9 Functions as component of the alternative replication protein A complex (aRPA).
aRPA binds single-stranded DNA and probably plays a role in DNA repair, it does not support chromosomal DNA replication and cell cycle progression through S-phase.
In vitro, aRPA cannot promote efficient priming by DNA polymerase alpha but supports DNA polymerase delta synthesis in the presence of PCNA and replication factor C (RFC), the dual incision/excision reaction of nucleotide excision repair and RAD51-dependent strand exchange.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.

Storage and StabilityStore product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
