Glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is well known as one of the key enzymes involved in glycolysis.
GAPDH is constitutively expressed in almost all tissues at high levels, therefore antibodies against GAPDH are useful as loading controls for Western Blotting.
Some physiological factors, such as hypoxia and diabetes, increase GAPDH expression in certain cell types.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:20,000Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:300Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
