Syk, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) is expressed in immature T cells, all B cells, basophils, hepatocytes, platelets and erythrocytes.
It functions in some T cell receptor signaling processes in addition to B cell receptor and integrin-mediated signal transduction processes.
Syk-/syk- mice exhibit defective phagocytosis by macrophages.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistolochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:100 for 30 min.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:Raji cells, Lymphoma
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage, store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
