Erk1/extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/p44 MAP kinase/microtubule-associated protein 2 kinase/myelin basic protein kinase/EGF receptor T669 kinase is ubiquitously expressed in various tissues and cells.
It gets activated by phosphorylation of neighboring serine and threonine residues by Mek1 and Mek2 in response to diverse stimuli like growth factors and mitogens.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml for 2 hrs at RT
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:25-1:50 for 30 min.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:A431 cells.

Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage, store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
