The CD2 antigen (LFA-2) is a monomeric 45 to 58kD glycoprotein.
It is an accessory molecule important in mediating the adhesion of activated T cells and thymocytes with antigen-presenting cells and target cells.
This antibody reacts with the majority of T cells in peripheral lymphoid tissue, NK cells, cortical thymocytes and most malignant cells of T cell origin.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution:Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50 for 30 minNote: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control: Tonsil
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%).
Store at -20°C or colder.
Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
