L-glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and activates both ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors.
The metabotropic glutamate receptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors, that have been divided into 3 groups.
The Glutamate Receptor, Metabotropic, 1, (mGluR1 alpha) activates phospholipase C and participates in the central action of glutamate in the central nervous system, such as long-term potentiation in the hippocampus and long-term depression in the cerebellum.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:500Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C in the dark.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
