The receptors for the endothelins are found on various tissues including lung and intestine.
ETA receptor has been reported in a variety of tissues including placenta, uterus, testis, heart, adrenal gland, lung, kidney, ovary, skin, liver, bladder, large blood vessels, cerebellum, neurons, and meningioma tumor cells.
A splice variant has been identified in melanoma (Zhang et al., 1998).
ESTs have been isolated from libraries from the above-mentioned tissues.
