IL-8, also known as CXCL8, is produced by a range of cells including stimulated monocytes, mast cells, endothelial cells, keratinocytes and fibroblasts.
Human IL-8 promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Neutralization Studies and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml; Use at 100ul/well, detects 0.2-0.4ng human IL-8/well.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects 1.5-3.0ng human IL-8per lane under reducing and non-reducing conditions.
Neutralization Studies: 2-3ug/ml is found to yield half-maximal inhibition of the biological activity of 100ng/ml human IL-8
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
