Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells- specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence.
Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes.
Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis).
Isoform 1 mediates the cardiac transcription factor MEF2C-dependent transcription.
Isoform 1 and isoform 3 are more active than isoform 2 and isoform 4 in stimulating cardiac muscle promoters.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C.
Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
