Tyrosine kinase that functions as cell surface receptor for fibrillar collagen and regulates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix, remodeling of the extracellular matrix, cell migration, differentiation, survival and cell proliferation.
Collagen binding triggers a signaling pathway that involves SRC and leads to the activation of MAP kinases.
Regulates remodeling of the extracellular matrix by up-regulation of the matrix metalloproteinases MMP2, MMP7 and MMP9, and thereby facilitates cell migration and wound healing, but also tumor cell invasion.
Promotes smooth muscle cell migration, and thereby contributes to arterial wound healing.
Phosphorylates PTPN11 (By similarity).
Required for normal blastocyst implantation during pregnancy, for normal mammary gland differentiation and normal lactation.
Required for normal ear morphology and normal hearing.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.

Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
