CAV3 is a caveolin family member, which functions as a component of the caveolae plasma membranes found in most cell types.
Caveolin proteins are proposed to be scaffolding proteins for organizing and concentrating certain caveolin-interacting molecules.
Mutations identified in its gene lead to interference with protein oligomerization or intra-cellular routing, disrupting caveolae formation and resulting in Limb-Girdle muscular dystrophy type-1C (LGMD-1C), hyperCKemia or rippling muscle disease (RMD).
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: 1:1,000Western Blot: 1:50-1:100Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4°C.
DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
