Unrip is also known as STRAP (Serine-threonine kinase receptor-associated protein).
It is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the STRAP gene.
It is mapped to 12p12.3.
UNRIP is integrated into a complex with UNR or with the SMN complex in vivo in a mutually exclusive manner.
It is concluded that UNRIP is the first component of the uridine-rich snRNP assembly machinery that associates with the SMN complex in a compartment-specific way, and it may play a crucial role in the intracellular distribution of the SMN complex.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, the detection limit is ~0.1ng/lane under reducing conditions
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml, boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
