SP4 (Sp4 transcription factor), also known as Transcription factor Sp4, SPR-1, HF1B, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SP4 gene.
It is a multigene family of SP proteins.
Northern blot analysis that SP4 is abundantly expressed as a 7.5kb message in brain, but barely detectable in other human cell lines.
SP4 is an activator protein like SP1.
However, in contrast to SP1, SP4 is not able to act synergistically through adjacent binding sites.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
