• SIRT2 is a predominantly cytoplasmic protein that colocalizes with microtubules.
• This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein.
• Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes.
• SIRT2 is mapped to 19q13.2.
• It is able to cause radioactivity to be transferred from (32P) NAD to bovine serum albumin (BSA).
• According to researches, SIRT2 can act as a bona fide tubulin deacetylase.
• SIRT2 was found to deacetylate lys40 of alpha-tubulin both in vitro and in vivo.
• SIRT2 is also a regulator of mitotic progression that acts downstream from CDC14B in a pathway regulating mitotic exit or subsequent cytokinesis.
• SIRT2 is an important regulator of programmed necrosis.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.

• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, the detection limit is ~0.25ng/lane under reducing conditions
• Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml, boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
• Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
