特徴

• CYP27B1 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes.
• The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids.
• The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane where it hydroxylates 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 at the 1alpha position.
• This reaction synthesizes 1alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, the active form of vitamin D3, which binds to the vitamin D receptor and regulates calcium metabolism.
• Thus this enzyme regulates the level of biologically active vitamin D and plays an important role in calcium homeostasis.
• Mutations in this gene can result in vitamin D-dependent rickets type I.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml, boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
• Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
