Calcium and integrin-binding protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CIB1 gene.
This gene encodes a member of the EF-hand domain-containing calcium-binding superfamily.
And this protein interacts with many other proteins, including the platelet integrin alpha-IIb-beta-3, DNA-dependent protein kinase, presenilin-2, focal adhesion kinase, p21 activated kinase, and protein kinase D.
Moreover, the encoded protein may be involved in cell survival and proliferation, and is associated with several disease states including cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
