Bile Salt Export Pump (BSEP) is a protein which in humans is encoded by the ABCB 11 gene.
It is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters, also known as ABCB11.
It is mapped to chromosome 2q24.
The BSEP protein is mainly expressed in the liver.
ABCB11 is a gene associated with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 2 (PFIC2) which caused by mutations in the ABCB11 gene will increases the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma in early life.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, the detection limit is ~0.1ng/lane under reducing conditions
Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml, boiling the paraffin sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 20 mins is required for the staining of formalin/paraffin sections
Immunocytochemistry: 0.5-1ug/mlImmunofluorescence: 2ug/mlFlow Cytometry: 1-3ug/10e6 cellsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
