ADRB2, also known as beta-2 adrenergic receptor, is a beta-adrenergic receptor within a cell membrane which reacts with adrenaline (epinephrine) as a hormone or neurotransmitter affecting muscles or organs.
It is mapped to 5q32.
This receptor is directly associated with one of its ultimate effectors, the class C L-type calcium channel Ca(V)1.2.
The genetic variation in the ADRB2 gene may be of major importance for obesity, energy expenditure, and lipolytic ADRB2 function in adipose tissue, at least in women.
It has been found that activation of ADRB2 receptors can stimulate gamma-secretase activity and beta-amyloid production, and the ADRB2 receptors activator may contribute to beta-amyloid accumulation in AD.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml, the detection limit is ~0.1ng/lane under reducing conditions

Storage and Stability:Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C.
Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20°C.
Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
