• Hemojuvelin (HJV) belongs to the repulsive guidance molecule (RGM) family.
• HJV is highly expressed in the liver, skeletal muscle and heart and seems to play a role in iron absorption and release from cells.
• Defects in HJV are responsible for the iron overload condition known as juvenile hemochromatosis in humans.
• HJV is a co-receptor for bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling that regulates hepcidin expression and iron metabolism.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 1:2000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
• Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20°C.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
• Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
