MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection.
CD254 is highly expressed by T lymphocytes and osteoblastic cells and plays a key role in the differentiation and activation of osteoclast precursors, acting as a ligand for both receptor activator of NF-KBeta (RANK) and the decoy receptor osteoprotegerin (OPG), which act as antagonists.
Binding of CD254 to RANK is essential for the activation of osteoclastogenesis, stimulated by factors such as TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, IL-6 and IL-17, whereas binding to OPG neutralizes CD254, thereby inhibiting osteoclastogenesis.
Studies have shown that CD254 augments the dendritic cell (DC) stimulation of naïve T cell proliferation and may be involved in the regulation of DC-T cell interactions.
Studies have also revealed a link between CD254 and apoptosis, through activation of the antiapoptotic kinase AKT/PKB and the mTOR/S6K signalling pathway.
